Just some stuff to keep in mind (All of this has come up in the past few weeks so I wanted to spell it all out here) - If you're impatient and want us to respond to you within a few seconds it probably won't happen. We do make every attempt to respond within a few minutes when possible but we have five kids so our lives are a little hectic and fast paced. I try to answer your questions right away but if it's a training question that I need to ask Bob it may have to wait until he gets home from work. Do not try to call Bob three times during work hours and get mad if he doesn't answer. He works different hours each day but will call you back when he's able too.
NO WHIPS will be allowed to be used on the horses when you're trying them out. If you want to lunge them that's fine but we will not tolerate you nailing a horse with a whip just because he does something wrong while riding. Remember, most of these horses have been abused. One smack of a whip can set them back months.
NO TRIALS! I can understand you wanting to get to know the horse and it's fine if you want to spend time with them here and want to stop out a few different times to ride but, I don't allow trials because I don't want someone beating on the horse for a few weeks then sending him/her back to us saying it's not the right horse for you.
We are not accepting owner surrenders at this time except possibly a pregnant mare that's in need of help (being abused, neglected, risk of going to auction).
We are just a small family run rescue, not a 501c3. When we are able to we save a horse or two from the New Holland Auction, evaluate / train them, and place them for adoption.
We have horses available for adoption now.
